CAMPUS-WIDE TITLE IX REQUIRED TRAINING

Title IX is a landmark Civil Rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex.  Title IX protects students, faculty and staff on campuses from discrimination based on pregnancy, nursing, real or perceived sex, sexual orientation or gender self-identification, sexual harrassment and all forms of sexual violence. It also prevents descriminating against women in STEM fields* or other fields that have historically created barriers for women.   * STEM refers to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math

All faculty and staff at Edgewood College are required to complete a mandatory training in compliance with Title IX regulations.  This training is available from the Human Resources Department.  Contact Pamela Lavalliere at plavalliere@edgewood.edu.
